I don't disagree re:consent. But if you're going to say it's "shocking," you have to account for the fact that they were talking about the case, while you say you were not. As we started discussing, it is not "shocking" to point out that there can be quite a few confusing aspects of the situation (sleepy, not sleepy, half-asleep, etc), and I think that is what the boys were stressing. Can't make that kind of statement about what he "did" if we don't know. Blah blah.

Perhaps their switching of the subject had lost me by that point but my disagreement with Paul was with the fact what he seemed to say as a general point, not linked to either Galloway's stupid comments not the actual Assange case.
As I understood it, he was arguing that once someone had given consent to sex, had sex then gone to sleep, the other person was still fine to start having sex with them again several hours later with out attempting to find out if sex was wanted then. Perhaps I have misunderstood though but to me there is no grey area there - the consented to sex is over and done with when the couple stop having it.
