How far do those subs range, compared to US subs ? They might be out for tours of no more than six weeks or so, while US subs probably go out for far longer sometimes.

Wikipedia says that the only class of Australian submarines have an endurance of 70 days, which is probably as much info as we'll get. Unless you go nuclear it's hard to get longer than that anyway, due to the need for refueling.
