There's definite evidence of a cultural shift towards liberalism happening across the age spectrum. I don't disagree with you on that and I recognize that the Republican party needs to do a better job speaking to those outside its base. Really all I was commenting on was your one statement:

You made it sound like (well, what I took from it anyway) the youthful population was growing and the older folks were dying off. In reality, the trend (for now) is the opposite. Birth rates are way down yet life expectancy continues to climb. Maybe that will change soon, or maybe not; I don't know enough about the subject to really say. For now, though, we're getting more get-off-my-lawners every day and that's all my *NM* reply was trying to point out. :P
