Nah, I don't *try* to insult anyone (most of the time) , though I seem to do so fairly regularly. *NM* HyogaRott Send a noteboard - 18/11/2012 07:41:43 PM
That's a pretty crazy reply, and probably the best illustration I've ever seen of why many women are annoyed by men pontificating on the topic of abortion.

Reminds me of a quote from an entirely different context (by Charles George Gordon):

"It is as if a man on the bank, having seen his friend in the river already bobbed down two or three times, hails: "I say, old fellow, let us know when we are to throw you the life-buoy; I know you have bobbed down two or three times, but it is a pity to throw you the life-buoy until you are really in extremis, and I want to know exactly, for I am a man brought up in a school of exactitude.""

In the real world, with lives at stake, there's such a thing as common sense that takes precedence over "exactitude".

Edit: I should add, though, that I wrote the above before reading Cannoli's post. Not that that changes anything about anything I said; it merely makes your post look better in comparison, as at least you don't go out of your way to insult everyone on top of everything else.
