I'll only address one point, because you keep coming back to it, STDs in Africa.
If the people of Africa adhered to the doctrine of the Catholic church then STDs would not BE a problem. The church doctrine says to reserve sex for marriage (specifically procreation). Follow that guideline and you don't need any birth control. Suddenly there is not population explosion problem, much less of a food problem, and virtually no STD issue. All you gotta do is not be an animal following you instincts and urges and keep it in your pants.
Why should they try to promote something that is LESS than 100% effective? It might be tough for a person to do, but it can be done, or is it your position that THOSE people are somehow incapable of making an intelligent choice? Are they subhumans who are unable to control their urges? Do we have to save those poor pathetic savage people from themselves? If so, then aren't you just a guilty of the arrogance and bigotry that you are accusing the Catholic Church of? SHAME on them for demanding people to act responsibly!

A priest can't marry, but a married person can become a priest.
