The only reason I entered the discussion was that I corrected a factually incorrect comment. Stand Your Ground was involved in the case, it may not be involved in the defenses arguments but the judge did instruct the jury.

I am not arguing my opinions vs your opinions and everyone opinions of this case for I am emotionally weary of it. Humans can not create a system of restorative justice, when a person dies they die and we can't change that. The only type of justice we can perform on this planet is a retributive justice system, an eye for an eye. Yet under such a system we will not take the second eye unless we are absolutely sure, if their is reasonable doubt we will not perform our retribution. There was reasonable doubt in this case and thus we performed the closest thing to justice humankind can do in this world.

The trial is over, it is time to move on, and I will not argue it any further.
