Others have already said what I was going to say, but I wanted to offer support anyway.

I don't think you're being at all unreasonable, but I probably wouldn't think legal proceedings were worth it (I'm lazy). Maybe wait w/o making a stink until one of the holiday lets actually turns out to be horrible - then you'd have a case if you wanted to make it?
