I just didn't think that particular incident was a valid example. I can't say that she hasn't given plenty other causes to doubt her ability to lead a nation.

I wasn't offended. I was just explaining why I was defending her in this case when normally I wouldn't be bothered. It is just something in my make up that doesn't like to see someone being possibly unjustly accused or judged without having examined all the possibilities.

This critisism of her struck me as petty and half-baked. Tabloid style.

Don't worry I was not offended. Just being self-righteous.

Anyone can have an off day, but this kind of thing is more of a pattern with her. I can't recall ever hearing Palin say anything insightful or deep, but recall MANY cases where she said something that left me thinking, Someone should really proofread her speeches... someone not-her.... I believe the McCain campaign reached a similar conclusion.

Not that I've never been known to get self-righteous, but I'm glad you didn't take it personally.
