you prefer party -- republican party -- over principle pretty much in every political debate i've seen you chime in on. i think i've only seen one of your arguments that didn't come directly from republican talking points, including the current one we're having about how bill clinton was such a failure because the republicans supposedly did everything right during his presidency. clinton was a failure for other reasons, and blaming him for everything you think is wrong with the country is like saying you got in a car accident because the headlights on your car are a bit out of focus.
Now your talking out your ass, again.
There are points that I agree with republican party, it would be rather silly to be a republican if that were not true, but there are just as many where I break with the party despite. I know that reality is hard to accept and it doesn't match the caricature image of a republican you hold in your mind.
In fact on a some major issues such as socialized medicine I am left of a lot of liberals. I don't support they piece of crap Pelosi and Reed have thrown together but that doesn't mean I oppose a more socialized version of health care. If I believed they could pull it off I would support it but I see no reason to trust them.
The fact that I remember the 90s and don't buy the argument that Clinton was this great fiscal conservative who balanced the budget doesn't make me a right wing nut job it just means I passed on the liberal Kool-Aide that is so much in style these days. I don't hate Clinton and I think he did an decent job but left gives him to much credit for simply being there when good things happened. Seeing how he is the only successful democratic president in most people's life time it is understandable that dems would want to fluff up his resume but when you ask for specifics of what he did instead of simply what happened while he was in office they tend to come up short. Balancing the budget is not something he did unless you can say what he actually did to balance the budget.
also, if all you have to debate is to call me a "looney" and "socialist" it's even more evidence that you have no clue what you're talking about.
I don't believe I was the on who started the name calling I simply said you seemed pretty far to the left to me so go wash the sand out of your vagina if you want me to treat you with respect then you want to stop being such a little bitch when people disagree with you and you may want to consider not starting shit if you are simply going to whine about later.
[Tom] DeLay writes in his book No Retreat, No Surrender:
"[Newt Gingrich] told a room full of reporters that he forced the shutdown because Clinton had rudely made him and Bob Dole sit at the back of Air Force One...Newt had been careless to say such a thing, and now the whole moral tone of the shutdown had been lost. What had been a noble battle for fiscal sanity began to look like the tirade of a spoiled child. The revolution, I can tell you, was never the same."
I remember that happening but Newt saying one stupid thing doesn't mean the entire push to reduce government spending was simply to punish Clinton for a slight. I know it is appealing to believe things like that but really even you don't actually believe this is anything more then gotchya politics and you can't really believe this was the motivation behind the entire republican revolution of the 90s?
