I was watching the news this morning and I started thinking about health insurance. As I thought more about it, I realized that I think it should be universally accessible, and I don't like the idea of it being a for-profit enterprise, because if the objective is maximum profit, the likelihood of the customer getting screwed increases by about a million. I'm fine with a competitive for-profit, say, video game industry, but when we're talking about health insurance, things are a little different, right? So then I thought, "Wouldn't it be great if there was a big non-profit enterprise to deal health insurance, with the costs paid for by the taxes we already pay...wait a minute..."

Oh my god, I'm a socialist! How could this happen! Someone talk me out of it, quickly!
