Johnny Quest still scared me when I was several years older than she is. Didn't stop me from gluing myself to the TV every Saturday morning though. But I am not sure that I could have gone to sleep watching it. The Mummy episode was the bomb.
This does give hope that she left the daughter with you. Sometimes people need to take a step back before they realize what and who they need in life and how much they need them. We thought this week that my son and his girlfriend who has become family for all of us were going to break up. After a few days apart, they showed up at our house last night obviously together again. I was so relieved. She is the best thing that has ever happened to him and she is important to all of us.
I have been where you are and it hurts horribly. But things can work out. Sometimes a little space is a good thing...come to think of it, making myself use and learn to enjoy that space was a really good thing. I was happier and it took pressure off of him. Probably nothing that would apply to you though.
You are in my thoughts.
Love,
Teresa
Melissa is spending the rest of the weekend here with me. Took quite a lot of work to get her room liveable again (the move and the lack of keeping up with cleaning had pretty well trashed it) but I managed.
She's very troubled by not having her DVD/VHS though. Or her collection of movies. She loves going to sleep to Bambi. But I can't play it as the VCR Amy left for Melly doesn't work (it eats tapes).
In the end I hooked up my old Xbox and played Jonny Quest for her which she wanted when Horton Hears a Who wasn't available.
She was pretty distressed by no Horton.

It's why one of the first things I did was post here when I was together enough to do so.

Sounds like things have calmed down a bit now, but that was a shitty thing to do, that's for sure.
