which terms that the left uses did he suggest removing?

they just nitpick every turn of phrase (whether relevant or not) until you start arguing about semantics instead of the issues at hand.
You are going to have to give me an example here because I am not sure what you are refering to.
Personally, I think he pointed out some good phrases that would be good to remove for both sides (even if he didn't necessarily describe them that way)
liberal
pro-life
intelligent design
Family Values
Support the Troops
Fair and balanced
How do you see that as both sides?
but hey, I'm still all for miming speeches. It'd also get rid of teleprompters, no?

Sorry the joke is great but I think we need to politicians to say more not less

I know it isn't popular to admit it around here but limiting frees speech is typically a left issue. The republicans have their own sins but this particular one tends mostly come from the left. It seems to be always those on the left who want to change what we are calling things and to want to stop people from using certain phrases or words.
.
If you could ban some words from political discourse, which would you ban?

considering that "liberal" has taken the place of "communist" for "something bad" i'd say yes

If that's the case you should try to reclaim the word, not demonize it.
