Why do people feel this desperate need to defend blizz fuckups?

It's not like you have to use your real name when you play a Starcraft 2 game on battle.net, you still have a gaming alias for multiplayer.
Yes, you have to sign in to a battle.net account, but they are not forcing you to post on the forums, they're not forcing you to use the facebook feature. These are all voluntary.
Not directed specifically at you, more a general observation. People get to hooked into games and lose sight of the fact it's a massive profitmaking company and you are a consumer.
2nd, there is an exploit with Real ID which will show your real name in game. 3rd, forums are Blizz method of game support, a game which I pay for, since when did getting support for a product involve telling the whole world your name?
4th, who cares if it's 'voluntary', that doesn't stop it being plain wrong, nor does it stop the fact Blizz are trying to bring this in to exploit consumers via facebook and microsoft marketing.
Blizzard demand that people use their real names when posting on their forums (WoW, SC2).

I've heard that other places have been doing this without too much of an issue. iRacing, for one.
