Although I mostly played 2nd edition, I have to agree.. Wow, this game is still going. I was talking to some of my old friends the other day about getting together and playing. Harder to do with kids and stuff these days.

Incidentally, someone was selling The Keep on the Borderlands module on eBay the other day, it went super cheap.
