Only $55/mo for Comcast? Consider yourself lucky. :p

When I moved here 4 years ago, I had a rate of $35/mo for their 6down service. When the promotional period ended, it went to $47/mo. Not too bad, I thought. Then, $57/mo. By the time I moved in February, I was paying about $70/mo after tax. It was ridiculous, and I never did anything to upgrade my service.
On the upside, despite over-charging, Comcast has always erred on the side of being faster than what I'm paying for.

The sword might be grateful to the forge fire, but never fond of it.
Why does Blizzard insist on making me sign onto their servers ... seriously. ? !

It's to stop "pirates." And by "pirates," I mean, "people who play used games." *NM*

Scary that in order to curb one practice - they are alienating a whole section ...

Close... it's for control, for a variety of reasons. "piracy" and the used game market are the tip

Fair enough.
I guess used-game concerns are more of a console thing. *NM*

Stuff like D3's always-on DRM and phone home schemes in no way contribute to that future.
