This was mostly aimed at Matt, TMJ, simply because I'm more familiar with his reasoning for being disappointed with Brawl. If your reason had nothing to do with competitive play, then ignore all this


I have nothing to compare it to. I had never played Melee or any previous incarnation. I just bought it because it was one of the few/only games released at the time for the Wii with online play and a lot of people I know said they were going to get it. There's a lot of love and hype for the series and I didn't really enjoy the gameplay at all.
