I hate it when massive plot holes are excused because it is science fiction random thoughts Send a noteboard - 19/05/2017 03:11:21 AM

The Star Trek remake has a cadet get kicked out for cheating then they have to man the new flagship with cadets because Star Fleet is suddenly out of qualified officer on the planet Earth, the entire planet Earth. Then the disgraced candidate sneaks on the orbital starship gets abandoned on an ice plant, I guess the cadet crew didn't know there was a brig. He once again sneaks on to the starship and is such an asshole the captain puts him in command. He then defeats the massively armed mining ship so they give him command of the brand spanking new starship despite the fact that he is an inordinate ensign with about a week of experience on a ship.

Fan boys lap I it up because red shirts die, he sleeps with a green woman and it was pretty. The last movie wasn't as bad even if they defeated the support enemy with electronic countermeasures that would have been dated in WWII.
