There's the belief that "I'm perfect, just the way that I am." Sorry...you aren't. If you were perfect, then Jesus didn't have to come to earth and die for your sins (whatever they may be for you personally). There's also the belief that "He (God) would want me to be happy.".....sorry again. Happieness is a transitory emotion based upon the circumstances of your life. I also liked the "I believe that I am good." So did Manson, Pol Pot, Stalin, Hitler. And lastly "I believe that we should just love,"....sadly that is just so short sided. We should "just" love...we should also "act".
Some of these things, I could countenance for a 12 year old...and as such, chalk up to pre-teen angst. The rest of it is indicative of poor parenting or poor spiritual learning.
Either way...she's in for a rough go at life.
