Not super smart? Not dopey? Not particularly brave? Sometimes a bit grumpy? Maybe you're a Slytherin! More worried about yourself and your family than others/the world/etc? Brexit + Trump makes me realise how Slytherin we all can be.

I feel like it's Hufflepuff that ends up being the grab-bag. Slytherin is mostly just terrible.



View original postBeing serious for a sec - it's an extreme example, but one of my fave people struggles with depression, gender issues, etc, and does not feel like they fit in mainstream society. They identify strongly with Slytherin, because it's "other."

That's interesting to me, but also really quite alarming. I wonder the extent to which people end up engaging in destructive behavior (not accusing your friend of it; just triggered the thought) simply because they feel relegated to "outside" groups, which generally have fewer compunctions about such behavior.
