But rebooting him won't leave him in the MCU, where he can continue to interact with Iron Man, Cap, and the MCU characters/stories.
Spidey shares many of his rogues gallery with Daredevil, and therefore the MCU has them and a non-MCU Spiderman can't fight them. The Gang War storyline would make a great movie, but the rights to about half the gang leaders belong to whoever holds the rights to Daredevil, and Marvel Disney has the rights to Daredevil, Punisher, and The Falcon, who all helped Spiderman in that story arc. Logan proved you could write around obstacles like that, but better if you don't have to, imo.
Hollywood has the best moral compass, because it has compassion.
