It has become a perverse aspect of feminism that they want role models that are physically equal to the male characters. Men might as well demand more male characters giving birth. As long as they think a female character has to go toe to toe with their male counterparts in physical ability they wool always have unbelievable role models that they can never reasonably expect to emulate.
What if my nephew really really likes Hulk? He's got an unbelievable role model that he can never reasonably expect to emulate.
I mean, I partially agree with you, here, and I agree that there's some kind of issue for them to work around, but in a fantastical scenario why shouldn't Wonder Woman be able to go toe-to-toe with the movie Doomsday? And Ellen Ripley - she does what any heroic male character does when confronted with a zenomorph - shoot if you have a loaded gun, run if you don't. Or climb into a construction mech...
