you're going to take hits one way or the other and you can only search for the least bad solution. Antagonizing most of your players isn't something you want to do as an owner, I would imagine - you'll still get bad press, though of a different nature, and your results are likely to suffer. It's not like it was with Kaepernick last year.

Interesting that you mention college football as an alternative. Do you think that that will remain free from such political controversies, even though these teams represent those famously liberal universities?
