If he remained alive after being deposed he would find some way to become a cause célèbre of the extreme Left. He could set himself up as an unofficial Pope of the dispossessed and actually openly preach Liberation Theology to the detriment of the Church. He could spread his alternate version of the Lord's Prayer like some modern-day Martin Luther, bringing further divisions to Christendom. He would become "that scandalous former Pope".

If he's burned, on the other hand, he would scream for a few moments for the edification of the Faithful, then be scattered to the winds in a final mockery of his position on climate change.

Oh, I'm having too much fun with this now...
