View original postI've been against the FISA warrant procedure for years now, so it would be hypocritical of me to support the procedure in this particular instance. Similarly, people who support FISA warrants in general are acting foolishly by pretending that this was anything other than business as usual in a FISA court.
He is quoted as saying he backed down because memories of the Saturday Night Massacre prompted his fears those resignations would end his presidency. Now those same principled card-carrying Republicans are accused of a "Democratic witch hunt" for tapping a foreign agent WITH a warrant. Because they have consistently put our country ahead of their party, and most other Republicans now consider TREASON "the lesser evil."
