Like my state, Connecticut, for example. Bump stocks are illegal as are magazines above 10 rounds. If you knew anything about the way our country works, you would understand that is the preferred way to handle this - on a state by state basis. The Supreme Court has refused to review individual state and city large capacity magazine and bump stock laws, allowing them to stand. Would they also decline to review a sweeping Federal law? No, particularly if all the Red States filed suit to challenge such a law, which they would.

It's rich to say things like "If you knew anything about the way our country works", we're talking about the US here. It's not a state secret. California is more progressive on gun control than Alabama, that's not news.

Both the federal and state governments have been undermining the 2nd for close to a century and will continue to do so until it is functionally irrelevant. The states start the process then when critical mass is reached the supreme court folds.
