Fancying Putin I can almost understand, but if Trump is so focused on his showmanship that he's actually convinced himself that the mafia leader who's family highjacked a country and its population is a guy to heap praise on.. That's terrifying. And I've been mostly enjoying the postmodern spectacle that he is.

As for lamenting it as a victory for Kim, I don't see why it should be a zero sum game with his gains being everyone else's loss. Time will tell I'm sure.
Where you were cordial to their face, and then away from them you spoke of only his sins...knowing full well that he would hear of you talking with him? And then later you go to work with that guy again and you still expect it to go well.
