I also liked the programmer woman Bernard chained up in the cave, but it irritates me that every show now tries to show a woman genius programmer because they're pushing this PC line about women coding.
Let me hyper focus on this. Women in coding / software / computer engineering used to be the norm where women were a major part of the CS work force and many of the "greats" were women. It is only in the 1980s and later that this dramatically reversed and men greatly outnumber women. The inflection point of when this happen depends on how you count the numbers (like by college degree, like by occupational statistics, and so on.)
