I just talked about the Breakthrough Therapy Designation in the other post I did. That said it will still be years before it enters the market, if its enters the market. We still do not understand all the ways Psilocybin works and so on. We do not know how it treats depression (we have good ideas) and we do not know if there is additional things we can do with Psilocybin to promote the benefits and reduce any downsides.

It is cool though it getting the Breakthrough Therapy Designation for it may speed it up somewhat (not by much) but only 1/3rd of the drugs that apply for this expedited and more hands on FDA designation get it, and furthermore unless the drug qualifies as a serious or life threatening condition it does not qualify (I am referring to the 1/3rd number for this is a selection of a smaller selection.)
