Prozac. Zoloft. Paxil. Wellbutrin. Trazedone. Amitriptaline. Serzone.
I am currently taking generic Cymbalta.
None of them have ever stopped me from thinking about suicide every day of my life.
If psilocybin could do so, I would happily take it right now.
5 classes of meds you have taken, will post more later.
SSRI: Prozac. Zoloft. Paxil.
NDRI: Wellbutrin.
TCA: Amitriptaline.
Serotonin 2 Reuptake Antagonism / SARI: Trazedone. Serzone.
SNRI: Cymbalta.
I will post more tomorrow on what all those figuratively Greek words / medical jargon means.
But before I post more tommorow, have you done multi-med therapy before? For example adding Wellbutrin to your SSRI or one of those Serotonin 2 Reuptake Antagonisers (Trazedone, Serozone) to your SSRI?
You have not tried many of the augmenting agents that are possible for depression. There are a lot of augmenting agents you have not tried.
But on the subject of Succidal Idealization the Ketamine drug looks to be the best option.
The other thing that works really well with suicidal thoughts is adding lithium as an augmenting agent to an antidepressant. Lithium is not just for mania, it also helps people with unipolar depression as an augmenting agent and it is well studied to have this effect with other medicines are more statistically inconsistent of whether they specifically help suicidal thoughts.
