From the replies I received, I see there are scientists and doctors who have posted specific rebuttals to this declaration. Link provided below. That's a good thing. Science should be about dissent, rebuttal, further disagreement, further rebuttal, from qualified experts, right? All with the objective of achieving consensus? Remember when the world - or at least some of it - worked that way?
One point where I thing the Declaration is spot on is the contention that the full cost of lockdown policies falls disproportionately on those who can least afford to pay. And these costs, particularly in lack of wellness and preventative care, will continue to mount. But as long as the pandemic serves as a political football, we will never see a balanced policy.
