I haven't tested positive or tested at all - frankly, I don't see how I have anything to gain from taking a test - but I had a slight cold and fever at work Monday night. My mother called later, to say that she was not going to Mass Tuesday morning, which we had been planning to do together, and since I wasn't feeling so hot, and might have needed to take a bus, I decided to bail as well.

Then I was definitely sick on Tuesday, although I felt well enough to go to work, but decided it would just cause too much bother, because my boss is a total worry-wort who has completely bought into this pandemic nonsense. So I called in. I had Wednesday & Thursday off per usual, and was not feeling great, but I kept taking my vitamins and forgetting to take my temperature but I finally remembered yesterday afternoon and it was 101. So I took some ibuprofen (remember how the stores sold out of Tylenol and acetaminophen bac at the beginning of the hysteria, because ibuprofen doesn't work on the Wuhan Flu? Well, they are actually treating patients with it, because unlike acetaminophen, it helps with internal swelling) and that was that. By yesterday evening my fever was gone, and I'm fine today, with nothing more than an occasional cough.

Except yesterday and today I have this weird ache on my back, not like an actual back injury. It's located on either side, just below my shoulder blades and feels like muscle soreness or a skin issue, like a rash or sunburn, except there's nothing visible. Well, my mother went to get tested yesterday so she could get cleared to go back to her job as a school teacher, and today when we were talking, it turned out that she had the exact same back thing. And about a half-hour ago, she called to tell me her results came back positive. So with the fact that she's got a positive test result, and our shared, but otherwise unique symptom, I'm pretty sure I've got what she had.

And speaking from personal experience as a near-certain sufferer of the Wet Market Plague, I can absolutely state this is bullshit, anyone who is afraid of this without some comorbidity to fear is a total pussy and it's absolutely not worth the disruption of society, the isolation and its deleterious effects on the socially codependent, or the irregularities in the election process. Avoiding this disease was absolutely not worth inflicting the Designated Hitter on the National League or knocking 102 games off the baseball season, or letting shit teams with no business in the playoffs into the post-season. Avoiding it is definitely not worth letting them shoot a hastily-developed, minimally-tested vaccine into your bloodstream.

Assuming you don't have something that can kill you while the China virus has your immune system distracted, I would recommend running down to the nearest COVID ward and start licking doorknobs just so you can stop living in fear.

President Trump, you lost because you're a fucking pussy, and you let this bullshit cold bend you over the Oval Office desk like a little bitch. You totally deserve it.
