I have so many meetings it's ridiculous, but none that I consider a waste. Several times a day I have to choose between overlapping meetings, or send someone else from my team.
I have a Tiger Team meeting every day, 7:30-9:30 (except Thursdays when it's shifted back a half-hour) but it's a working meeting where we actually make progress on our project and get work done. But today we ended it after 15 minutes because the talking was done and we all have work to do. It often ends early, but it sometimes goes over. That's how working meetings are. I expect this Tiger team meeting to end in the next couple of weeks, but it's been going on since the first week of February.
I host four 1-hour meetings and a single half-hour meeting every week, and 3 of those are 'forever' meetings - the half-hour meeting for my hardware team, one hour meeting for my simulation team, and another meeting where we exchange info with other teams or the customer.
Today I was solid from 8:00-11 even though my Tiger Team meeting ended so early, then I had a 3-hour meeting at noon that ended 2 hours early, and finally I had a 1-hour meeting from 3:30-4:30, and then I was done for the day. Tomorrow my only gap before 4pm is from 10-noon unless something gets cancelled, and at 9:30 I've got to choose between cutting out of the Tiger Team early and attending two other scheduled meetings.
