That has always been the case. It always will. All we can do is live up to our own personal code of ethics, and everyone else be damned.

My personal code dictates that if I was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and I thought President Trump was insane enough to start a nuclear war, I would have gone public and accepted the consequences. Fuck anyone else who disagreed even if it was the Speaker of the House.
