In the interview, Judkins talks about fundamental changes he has made to RJ's gender-based world building. The following Judkins quote annoys me: "It’s a very fundamental change actually to make to the book series, and it has a lot of ripple effects, and we’ll continue to do things like that I think are more reflective of what hopefully Robert Jordan would be writing if he was writing today."
Uggh. Rather than change the world building to what you hope RJ would write if he thought the same way you do, how about stick to the world building that RJ actually did write and only make the kinds of changes that are necessary when going from book to film. I'm not encouraged by this.
