That Perrin and Egwene were captured by the Whitecloaks within sight of Tar Valon. No way there would be a troop of the Children of the Light there, if the power dynamics are anything remotely close to the books.
Also, Dragonmount is to the East of the city in the show (behind it in the shot with Rand and Mat looking at Tar Valon for the first time).
