I was giving an example of how the way stories progress feed into the perception that the media under reports news that goes contrary to their biases. Like mass shooters are all white racist gun nuts, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago and NYC are not at all becoming unlivable, shoplifterss are only trying to feed their families and so should not be aggressively prosecuted, etc.

The idea that there is a militant trans agenda to dominate culture and undermine the family unit and conventional morality is a little bit too tinfoil hat for me. I have a non binary grandkid with a polyamorous mother. Yes they want trans rights but they are also non violent and don't want to force anything on anyone other than tolerance. I think that most fall into this same category.
