If 9/11 were to happen today, then far leftists in the US would be using the word 'militant' for the terrorists and talking about no wars and an immediate cease fire. That people in the US can't agree on using the word terrorists for terrorists shows that the narrative is broken.
The IDF needs to carry out the strikes to kill Hamas leadership. They are not indiscriminately targeting civilians or civilian infrastructure. They are not kidnapping, murdering, and raping civilians. Hamas has proven that it can no longer exist.
Speaking of 9/11 and he current event, people need to give a little though to proportionality. 9/11 killed roughly 3,500 Americans out of a population of 350 million. The Hamas attack killed 1,500 out of a population of about 10 million.
