It's one of three plausible explanations for his death
Isaac Send a noteboard - 06/11/2010 04:53:19 AM
Have been absorbed into ToM and was avoiding the site to resist temptation to look at Spoilers...
Anyway, let's consider three - the only three I can see - reasons fist might have died last night
1. He was selected essentially at random, which I doubt, or semi-random off a list of decent candidates for some criteria that is not currently obvious.
2. His mason buddy is a dark sider and fist either let something slip or said something that made the Skrulls nervous and he got whacked, it would be very easy for me to see ? as a newer player making some slip with fist and the Skrull deciding 'better safe than sorry'
3. He activated his power and either A) we don't have a doc, B) the doc did not use their ability (limited use or inactive player) or C) one of the Skrull has a protection override and they were the killer last night or similar, all 3 of those are plausible.
If I had to pick I'd go with #2 as most plausible, which is why I dangled the mason claim demand of course, it was pretty obvious ? was the most likely candidate for that and there was a slim chance that as a newer player he might have, if scummer, taken the bait by not admitting it was him, regrettably his admission doesn't help either way, since a scummer and townie both would see a claim as the only logical action, simply a newer scummer might not. I think fist is experienced enough to realize a mason ally is not someone to be automatically trusted but it is worth noting, were I a skrull and he told me his role power I'd have tried to convince him not to use his action sponge that night then whacked him, realistically its one of the few things that might make me kill a mason ally as a scummer under these sorts of circumstances.
I do have one additional piece of info to share, though I can't explain how I know at this time, and it's parallel to last game with Yuna. I can't confirm Fox and Ravens is town, but I can confirm he is almost definitely not the killer. There's another thing that's sort of accidentally connected to that I'd like to go into but I feel a delay is the better course of wisdom right now on that matter, particularly with the infiltrated mason option in play.

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
