Well, with the newest exchange between FT and Isaac, I actually grew quite leery of Isaac. The biggest thing for me here was when Isaac said the following (linked at bottom):

I'm trying to find some advantage to keeping you alive, because both my intuition and my logic say we're better off lynching you, and it's not like we have alternate candidates lying around.

This will not be a wasted lynch whatever the result and I put you at around 50/50. I wish I could say I thought you were guilty but I don't, it's really a coinflip for me.

Just something simple. I know you said that you don't think he's guilty. I'm not complaining about that. It's that, in the same post, you said we should just lynch FT cause there's no real good reason you can think to keep him alive...whatever hapens, yet you say he's only 50/50. Now, it's small but you've always been pretty good with the subtle things. I'm gonna go with the little fingernail of suspicion on you, here. Just keepin my eyes out. I mean, if it's such a coinflip for you, why did you say earlier we would be better off lynching him? It's just bothering me now.


It's a good question, and I'm going to join you in asking it. I think at this point either one of them is a Darkfriend or neither of them is a Darkfriend, but not both. There's no way they would go after each other like that if they were knowingly on the same team, and it's only Day 1 so it's not like they've had time to compare strategies or anything and come up with some ridiculous plot to make the Town trust them. On other hand though, we can't fall into a false dichotomy - it's very possible that they're both Townies, after all. But if we lynch one of them and he comes up guilty, we can be fairly sure that the other is Town, I think.

And as to Kronin, I know as a townie, I would always defend myself as soon as suspicion popped up about me yet as a DF, I would try to let some things slide so I wouldn't get caught in a lie or mistake. So that helps me believe you somewhat. However, you turning the conversation against beet doesn't really sit well with me. He's just opening other options so we're not so focused FT's deal that we forget about everyone else. It really is what we need to do on Day 1. You should know, I would think. His post does not remotely smell of trying to "re-aim the sights" to me. Just expanding our options.


I don't want to condemn Kronin for what Beet said because I feel practically the same way - F-T's innocence or guilt is very up in the air, in my opinion, and I am not sure whether we ought to lynch him or not. So there's nothing wrong with being uncertain at this point in the Day.
