First- great game so far. And kudos to you, newbies- the only real way to make a Mafia game lame is by letting the conversation die, and you're all making a strong contribution to not letting that happen.


Some thoughts on who to lynch:

Obviously Day 1 is going to be all about the gut feelings, and seizing on minor things that may or may not be important. That said, there are two groups I'm suspicious of:

First: "Minor nobles." It makes sense- Isaac couldn't use many MAJOR nobles, since they're either too important to come or possibly tied up in the WoT plot somehow (although, it's not out of the question that Bashere is here I suppose...) It's just that it's pretty much the most generic answer one can give, and it came up a LOT. Bergioyn, Darth Katie, Fanatic-Templar, (possibly F&R? Are you a noble, or just an acquaintance?", Napoleon62 and Yunalesca are all nobles.

Second, "invited for unknown reason." This is a pretty flavorful game; I can see one or two unknowns, but Maud likely had specific interactions with all of you over the years. I've said mine- historian that may have had an interest in the thing- but many people haven't said their purpose. This smells of LIES! Now, obviously a cop has as much reason to lie as a DF, but it still means that I suspect, say Gher more than I do, say, F&R.

Actually, that's a good jumping-off point. How about it, Gher? Without giving away your role of course, can you give any more information? That should get the ball rolling- more information is always good, because we can trip up DFs that way.


(Sidenote to newbies- if you DO have a role and are pro-town, be careful of lying. We tend to see lying as an anti-town tendency, and if you come under suspicion and you can be trapped in a lie without and redeeming evidence, it may go badly for you. So, obviously protect yourself, but try not to go too crazy. For instance, if someone discovered that Talic wasn't really a former Tinker, she'd have some explaining to do.)
