I've read everything by him. Are you referring to a Dirk Gently book? It's been a while since I read those.

And I know, I think he just completely reused the character assuming that no-one would ever see Shada.


Yes. I need to reread the book now that I have seen it. The last time I read it I had never seen Doctor Who. It should be quite an experience.
