That does not fit with the "bring balance to the force" prophecy. If that is to be correct, the balance is achieved by there being two Sith and two Jedi. If their relative strengths were that different, that prophecy would make no sense, as Anakin would (on the contrary) destroy the balance.
There can only be two Sith, so if those two are no stronger than the average Jedi, it's rather hard for there to be much tension.
Why are the Sith always made to seem stronger than the Jedi?
