We understand that most of the things discussed on this board are not real, and that they've been created for our amusement. Too, we understand that plot elements are driven by good storytelling techniques. We are entertained, however, because we ignore all of this, and pretend (to whatever extent) that the story is real.

As such, questions like Sidious' are an extension of this pretension (sorry, couldn't resist that turn of phrase ), and valid only in the theoretical context. It should be very clear to you, the post reader, that his question should be viewed within the constraints of the Star Wars story as we know it, and not as a request for help with literary/film analysis.

On the other hand, perhaps you're being snarky and unhelpful on purpose? If so, I give you a french sigh: le sigh.
