There's a similar scene in the book that is a flashback to when Ned walks in on Jamie sitting on the Iron Throne at the end of the war. My guess is there won't be as many flashbacks, which will make setting up Jon's parentage a little more difficult. And I just realized that there was no mention of Lady Ashara Dayne in the bedroom scene where Jon Arryn's murder is revealed.
