Spoilers for next episode, deviation from books (major book spoilers through SoS) Jragghen Send a noteboard - 13/06/2011 09:08:46 PM
Word on the streets is that someone who doesn't die until the third book dies in the first season.

I'm afraid I don't have the list of characters it could be handy.

Highlight for discussions of various folks - serious spoilers, don't scroll down to the reply section if you haven't read the book because there's a risk.

Some of them (Robb, Cat, Tywin, the Hound, Jeor Mormont, etc) would just be insane. On the flipside, most of the somewhat more minor characters (Chett, Harwin, Rast) dying wouldn't make any sense.

Basically, I think it's down to two contenders, and it'll have to be in the finale so only one of the two makes any sense plot-wise: Beric Dondarrian and Hoster Tolly, with the latter being the one I'm guessing.

So, expect Cat to see her father and be at his deathbed, instead of having it drawn out for two more seasons. And I would guess that the Riverlands Lords swear fealty to Robb during the declaration of the King in the North or sommat.
