A Song was used in the AoL to promote healthy, blight-free, crop growth. That song involved Ogier, Aiel, and Nym. Tinkers are modern-day descendants of the Aiel. The present-day Tinkers seek a Song that is important to them, a song which they think they "lost." The Tinkers feel that this Song is important to them and the world.

That is not the Song. That is a Song. The Age of Legends had a number of them, evidently, as Lews Therin invites Ishamael to Sing, if he has the Voice, and I very much doubt he was planning to go farming.

What the Tuatha'an are looking for is a Song that would bring paradise. It's like modern Aes Sedai looking for 'the Weave' or 'the Talent' that will give them all the knowledge of Age of Legends Aes Sedai.
"Those who think they have no time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness."
