Has Aran'gar actually slept with anybody? She explains that she's bisexual, but I don't think it goes further than fantasy.


We know Balthamel was a lecher in the AoL, don't we? Isn't that in the Guide (more or less)? I don't have it in front of me, so I can't check. Encyc.WoT says "He cheated at gambling to win money to impress women", info from KoD ch.3 (I don't have KoD in front of me, either), which sounds like a lecher to me. I think he was all about the sexual conquest, and probably wasn't all that picky (especially after an evening of heavy drinking :) ).

So even though we haven't seen much of Aran'gar in action, there's little doubt in my mind that her desires are more than just fantasy, based on what we know of Balthamel (assuming my memory serves me right).

Whereas, my impression of Graendal is that, even though she comes across as a sensual/sexual person, she is more about aesthetics, and the display of beauty, than sexual conquest. My guess is that she's actually pretty discriminate about who she sleeps with.

Ah okay. I never read thought about Aran'gar in that way. I knew Balthamel was a lecher, but I figured that after she was reborn, she got to task serving SH and didn't have much time for playing around.

I think you're partially right about Graendal. According to the BWB she enjoyed her pleasures greatly. I think she only sleeps with the best physical specimens in the world, which makes her picky. However, her palace is filled with these very people. So I think she gets a lot of action.
