Shaidar Haran could have conceivably found them, but I still think there was a reason Jordon/Brandon wrote the scene with Bair/Sorilea in.
One thing we know from the same book is that Sorilea is weak in the power but extremely gifted at copying flows she has seen even just once. I therefore find myself suspecting her. I think we'd need to go back through the series and look more closely at Bair and Sorilea's actions before jumping to the DF conclusion though. But this issue has bugged me for quite a while.

Part of my suspicion here is that I was always among those who believed Verin incontrovertibly lied in TGH and strongly believed Sheriam was BA, even before we had explicit and undeniable proof in later books. It's quite clear almost from the start that Jordan intends to make the point that you can't expect even the worst villains to go around wearing a "Team Evil" T-shirt: People we like and respect a great deal are going to turn out to have hearts black as night, just as some we despise will turn out to be among the good guys.
