My last post was not quite what I meant. I think the test does all it can to convince them that it is real, and usually succeeds, but they know it isn't reality, if that makes any sense. It really sounds like a lucid dream of sorts.


See, I view this as a contradiction. If it convinces you that it is real, then you can't know that it's fake, because we just affirmed you were convinced it was real.

As far as I'm concerned, if I believed it was fake, I wouldn't come out very emotional... maybe Nynaeve's final test could cause some difficulty, even knowing that it's fake, but that's one in six. There's no way Nynaeve would have chosen to spend eternity running after a Forsaken in a maze if she knew it was fake.

On the other hand, if I believed it was real, I wouldn't come out at all.
The first rule of being a ninja is "do no harm". Unless you intend to do harm, then do lots of harm.
