If you compare the watcher's PoV with others from Moridin, it's absolutely clear that Moridin is the watcher. It can't be SH, because SH doesn't have eyes & eyebrows, doesn't need fancloth and isn't that aware of the OP.


While I'd agree that the Watcher is Moridin, the fact that SH gets on that trail so quickly suggests to me that Moridin let the DO take over for a time. Moridin and SH/DO seem similar to Isam/Luc, but also to Fain/Mordeth and Rand/LTT. We see Fain twisted over time, gradually becoming another person. He is matched with Slayer.

Rand was slowly losing his mind to the "Dragon Soul" which inhabited his body (even taking involuntary control). It makes sense to me that Moridin, Rand's counterpart, also is inhabited by a balancing Dark force. This is Shaitan, and the result is that Moridin, when taken over by the DO, becomes Shaidar Haran.
